L&L MedVis Consult proposes the development of SBS MVP One — The Body Mechanics of Golf: a mobile-first, lightly interactive digital learning experience using medical visualisation to translate the Swing Build Golf method into clear, engaging explanations of human movement and golf mechanics.

The project builds upon Elizabeth Dunlap’s MSc research, Medical Visualisation of the Golf Swing, which demonstrated the potential of anatomically informed 3D animation to communicate movement and sequencing. The research provides an important foundation, but MVP One represents a new phase of commercial development rather than a continuation of the academic production.

A subsequent development review clarified the rights position and established a clean commercial production pipeline. GSA teaching assets and resources used during the MSc—including the teaching skeleton and GSA XR Lab motion-capture resources—will not be assumed available for commercial use. Equivalent assets, motion capture and specialist support will instead be commercially licensed, newly commissioned or separately authorised and budgeted. Ibrahim Daniel Buksh’s clarification regarding the provenance and institutional ownership of the GSA teaching skeleton is included at Appendix A.

The University of Glasgow Assignation & Confidentiality Agreement (Appendix B) separately governs Research Results and associated IPR arising from the University-supervised research. This includes the motion capture recorded at the University of Glasgow Engineering lab, which could potentially be reused with appropriate University confirmation; however, its capture quality was unsuitable for the intended production and L&L does not propose to use it for MVP One.

The accompanying prototype UX and visual storyboards demonstrate the proposed learning experience and provide the basis for defining a realistic production scope. This Commercial Development Package establishes a clear, rights-conscious and commercially viable route to SBS MVP One.
